| Joutei-KushinName: Akuma Alias: Dreadlord Akuma Age: 27 Gender: Male Personality: Likes: Powerful Allies. Keeping to himself. Being one step ahead. Dislikes: Treason, secession, betrayal, etc. Being outnumbered.
History: Akuma was 14 when he found some old books in an abandoned warehouse. He opened them and felt energy flow threw him. He started to notice abnormalities in his life. He would look into his mirror every morning to find his appearance was becoming more menacing, and growing black hair instead of the usual dark brown. His eyes frequently changed colors. He originally had blue eyes, but they had changed to a darker shade of lime green overnight. And the following days they switched between bright red and dark purple. Sometimes they'd change on command, though not always. Eventually, something bad happened. While in Spelling Class, Akuma spoke the words "affliction." and "agony," which resulted in one of the kids suddenly screaming as though they had just been struck by the lash of a whip. He was sent home, and later to the Hospital. Akuma continued on, confused by what had occured. Nobody thought about what Akuma was saying the moment before the child screamed. Akuma did, and so he investigated. The books he had found contained a vast amount of detailed information about multiple subjects. He read one labled " Kunou," which seemed like a dictionary of some sort. Many words in this book began with " affliction." Akuma found one titled "Affliction: Agony." The definition was " A Kunou that causes the target to be consumed in complete agony, which causes the target to lose focus as well. Level 5." Akuma began to understand; He was some sort of Arcanist! Suddenly inspired by this news, he began reading every book, front to back. A year had passed, and Akuma was reading one of the last novels. This one was more of a brief history about a supposed Anti-Christ who was rumored to cast curses, ( Kunou being the proper name,) on people who trifled with him. The man was rather old in age, according to folklore which was added to the book, but young in appearance. He was never named, which is why they called him an Anti-Christ, or a demon. Some folklore even wrote " The man was a demon. or worser yet; A Son of The Devil himself; birthed by a foul demon of the Underworld, in which the Man was born and raised." Akuma thought that this man must have been part human, for his appearance was completely human. A more accurate version of the Man's birth was thus; " Born in the fiery chasms of Hell, fathered by The Devil himself, he was raised to burden the earth with his very presence. A maiden of old times was the one who birthed the Man. The women dying the instant the demon exited her body in which imprisoned him." Akuma read more and more, taking in all he could. He would practice when he had free time, which he would make if nescessary. Years had passed, and he graduated from his school. He had achieved high grades, probably because all of his reading, but nowhere near the highest for he never really studied anything other than the books. He has finished reading them once, and was halfway through reading them again. He memorized all of the Kunou and most of the historical information. His appearance had completely changed; He had completely black hair and usually bright green eyes that'd glow like a jewel. He was nearly 21 and already could use every Kunou in the books. And, he found a new book titled " Kaihou ken Aishou Takai," which was a book about summoning rituals. Most rituals were a mere incantation, some involving ingredients such as spices, and sometimes blood. It also taught Akuma about Bukiri. It said that each Joutei-Kushin recieved some sort of Bukiri, usually the shape of a stave. " In order to obtain your Bukiri, you must release a portion of your Kaigo into a weapon, or some other sturdy material." Akuma used a rod covered in his blood. He manipulated his Kaigo to make it flow into the trails of his blood, as well as the pipe. ( He thought this added procedure would result in a stronger weapon.) The rod morphed into a black staff with crimson jewels. It seemed as though it was polished, and flowed with fidden power. After obtaining his staff, he went off to look for others like him. While doing so he began forming ideas of organization. He wondered whether it would be monarchy or oligarchy. He liked the sound of a monarchy, but it seemed too risky. So he decided their would be many " houses, " each named after it's purpose or strength. The House's Commander would be elected by the other Commanders or the Head House Commander, while the Head House Commander would be elected through a monarchy system. Rules would be made by the Head House, but could be overruled by a majority veto by the other Commanders. If this occured, the " Dreadlord, " ( Head House Commander,) would have to try again or give up on the rule. Anyone under someone's status, however, was subject to their commands. Therefore, a Dreadlord would have the highest authority, but still allow some freedoms to the other Houses. Akuma met up with some Shinigami eventually. He wondered what they were, and vice versa. After they relayed their encounter with me, they were given permission, (or ordered,) to invite Akuma back to Soul Society. Akuma accepted. He soon found out much about the afterlife. It was not Christianity, which was a disturbance to Akuma, for it meant that his powers could very well be from these people, and not the Devil. The fuel that kept him reading and training was that he would end up something in the afterlife; all seemed gone, but there was still confidence; faith. Shinigami were similar to Joutei-Kushin, though their base weapon was usually a sword. Akuma met with the "Captains" of the " Gotei 13," which were basically the Commanders of his Houses, metaphorically. The Captains talked for hours, telling Akuma about their origins and history. After they had all finished speaking, they looked at him expectantly. He was hesitant, for he didn't want them to think he was evil. He told them about Joutei abilities, which interested the Shinigami. They seemed to think Akuma was one of them, just with different names, and of course, not dead or ancient. He became frustrated by this, so he decided to tell them the Joutei-Kushin's History. He told them about the Man who roamed the earth before even Jesus was alive. Some looked shocked, others looked careless, but the old Shinigami at the opposite end of the room had his eyes closed, in deep thought. He seemed to understand. and asked Akuma to leave. Akuma did so, with minor assistance. His meeting with the Shinigami was shortly followed by another. This time, however, it was men in white suits with odd bone formations on their body. They told him to come or die. Akuma figured it couldn't be any worse than when he met the Shinigami. He found out that these men, or "Arrancar " to be precise, were enemies of the Shinigami. They were confident they were stronger, and seemed to think Akuma was no imminent threat. Akuma was asked to take a staircase to an underground chamber. He found himself staring at three men, in white suits, staring directly at him. They weren't Arrancar, however, for they had no bone formations on their skin. They informed him of their status; Shinigami. Akuma told them he was not on good terms with the Shinigami, and that he should leave. The man with brown hair, in the marble chair, smiled. He told Akuma that they left Soul Society in search of a better Society; a utopia. The man told Akuma a brief history about their organization, then asked Akuma to tell them a little bit about himself. He replied that he was human, but had special abilities, and was called a Joutei-Kushin. They were a little interested, but only the brown haired man showed it. When he got to the history of the Joutei, they all showed a sudden spark of interest. After he finished his story, they asked him to demonstrate his powers against one of them. He told them that he was admittedly weak for a Joutei because he had no teacher. They told him to just do what he could, and they would only defend themselves. The man with dark, braided hair and goggles stepped forward. He merely said " Go ahead, " and Akuma began his attack. He merely used low level Kunou to assault the Shinigami. He was affected by most, others he seemed invulnerable to. Akuma wondered whether he should go any higher than level 50. He decided to hide those from anyone outside his organization. They told Akuma that they were interested with him, and wanted to welcome him into their ranks. Akuma had a feeling they did not like being declined, so he said, " I would prefer not to join. There are more like me I wish to teach and form an organization with. This does not mean I will stand against you. I just merely wish to stay inside an organization created for my kind, and only for my kind. I have apparently worried the Shinigami, so an lliance between our armies may be soon needed, but not now. So, if you would kindly allow me to return to my home world and find others like me, I would deeply appreciate your generosity, and your offer. " They did not seem frustrated, yet they did not seem pleased either. They simply opened a portal and told him to continue his search for others. Akuma had finally done it! He had found enough Joutei to start his organization. He began by giving them a copy of the books about Kaigo, Kunou and Bukiri. They all eventually were able to use up to level 50 Kunou, and each had their own Bukiri. Then they moved on to Aishou Takai and other things. They each were only able to summon up to level 20 Kaihou, and were unable to perform Grand Summonings, but had personal Aishou-Takai's. Akuma had achieved his at age 26. Akuma turned 27 eventually, and was able to perform everything a joutei-Kushin should be capable of. He was the Dreadlord of the Joutei, and his system worked perfectly. His goal was accomplished, but there were still enemies out there, so he kept his fellow Joutei training. He continues on his search for more Joutei-Kushin, and for more power. Akuma is actually the reincarnation of The Man. The First Division Captain has probably met or heard about the mysterious figure, and therefore declared Akuma an enemy. Akuma is unaware of this until he performs Shinsei Sangatai. KunouPersonal Kunou: Shinsei Sangatai: Akuma reverts to his previous form of the "Man." This gives him access to surplus amounts of Kaigo and ability to cast Aishou Takai exclusive to the Man. Transfers information about The Man to Akuma, meaning he knows everything the Man knew. The secret of the Man are well kept by Akuma. ( Only used once. After spell wears out, Akuma will have the same amount of Kaigo and intelligence as The Man. He can also use the same Aishou Takai, Kaihou and Kunou as The Man. ) Feiku Sendo: Puts target into a coma which simulates Akuma's idea of death(Darkness in which all you can do is think. There is more to it, but other than this little bit, the rest cannot be simulated.). Spell can be broken if the target has enough energy. (Reiatsu, Kaigo, etc.) Fukyuu Amaru: (Exclusive to The Man.) Causes the user to fall asleep and disappear. The user will reappear within a specified time. Long term use can result in amnesia. ( In a nutshell, it traps the user in time for awhile. If the specified time is over the user's remaining life expectancy, the user will literally be "reborn." Usually with amnesia.) Highest Level: 101 List: All (List on forum.) BukiriName: Kakidashi Base Form(s): Staff. Abilities: Akuma can cast affliction spells and perform summoning rituals much quicker, and without ingredients or incantations. Kakidashi can have information stored inside it, which is accessible only to Akuma . KaihouHighest Level: Level 101 List: All (List is on forum.) RankRank: Dreadlord House: Insotsu Sekai: Ketsueki ken Zetsubou How Rank Was Achieved: Being the first "absolute" Joutei-Kushin, Akuma automatically inherited the rank of Dreadlord, or leader of the Joutei. He knows this because the books can sometimes rewrite themselves to answer his questions. Kaigo Amount: Extremely High amount of Kaigo because he is the first of his kind. (Being "The Man" helps too.)
AcademyAcademy Attended: N/A Academy's Purpose: N/A Inheritance Blood Related Joutei-Kushin(s): None, except for a possible ancestor from before Christ who was believed to be an Anti-Christ, or the son of the Devil. This man was believed to have been trained in the arcane art of affliction; Kunou. He was an omen of suffering according to the books Akuma read. He perished around the same time Jesus Christ was born, though it is wrote " It was not the bringing of Jesus Christ to this earth that eradicated the man. The man vanquished to be rebirthed again onto earth to wreak havoc on those who followed The Holy Spirit. " This was written in one of Akuma's private novels he recovered from the old mansion. The book was titled " Shisseki Sono Joutei-Kushin. " In truth. Akuma IS the Man. He is the first of the Joutei. Further information is kept secret. |
